90% sounds competitive until you read the next word

Packz buys cards back at 90% of fair market value. Tilt Rips offers the same rate. On a comparison table those two look interchangeable, and they are not, because Packz pays in site credit.

Credit can only ever buy more packs. It cannot be withdrawn, it cannot be spent anywhere else, and it means that money you put into Packz stays in Packz permanently, cycling through pack after pack until it runs out. Which, given packs are a negative-expectation purchase, it eventually will.

That is the whole review in one paragraph, and it is why Packz ranks where it does despite doing several things well. A rate is only worth what you can do with the proceeds.

The welcome offer is a partial exception. New accounts get a first pack of up to $100 carrying a 100% buyback rather than the standard 90%. Read the conditions on it though: the bonus funds are non-withdrawable and the whole thing expires in 48 hours.

The 72-hour clock on anything you do not ship

Cards you do not ship are sold back automatically after 72 hours. That is tighter than everything on this list except Crown Rips, and considerably tighter than the seven days Rips by Triumph allows.

Combined with the credit-only buyback, the practical effect is that a card you forget about for three days converts itself into store credit. Not cash. Credit.

Shipping is US-only, and there is no PayPal or crypto option for moving money.

What Packz does genuinely well

It publishes pull rates, which puts it ahead of Courtside and Pullz, and it reportedly holds real sealed product rather than operating purely as a numbers game. For a category where provenance is mostly taken on trust, that is worth saying.

It has also been running since September 2025, which makes it one of the longer-established operators here. Most of its competitors launched in 2026. A track record is not nothing.

The friction is at the cashier, not the rip

Opening packs on Packz is not where the problems are. The pull rates are published, the product is real, and the ripping itself works as advertised. Everything awkward about this site happens afterwards, when you try to turn a card into something you can spend.

Start with the buyback paying credit rather than cash, so the proceeds cannot leave the site. Add the 72-hour clock that converts anything unshipped into more of that credit. Add shipping that is US-only, with no PayPal and no crypto to move money by. Then add the repeated identity and selfie verification checks users report running into.

None of those is damning by itself. Together they describe a system that is easy to put money into and awkward to take value out of, and that pattern is worth recognising before you deposit rather than after.

Should you use it

Only if you are treating the whole thing as entertainment and have genuinely made peace with the money not coming back out. The pull-rate transparency and the sealed-product claim make it a more honest place to spend than some of its competitors, but credit-only buybacks make it a closed loop by design.

If what you want is a rip site where a balance can become money, Crown Rips and Rips by Triumph both pay cash and both publish their rates.

The buyback terms

Standard buyback is paid as non-withdrawable credit usable on more packs, not as cash.

Can you use Packz in your state?

Section 3.3 of the Packz terms states plainly that the service is not available in Nevada. The same section reserves the right to change eligible locations at any time and at its sole discretion, so it is worth re-checking rather than assuming.

Shipping and getting the card

US-only shipping. Unshipped cards auto-sell back after 72 hours.

Cons

  • Standard buyback pays site credit rather than cash
  • Welcome bonus funds are non-withdrawable and expire in 48 hours

Our verdict on Packz

The pull-rate transparency is genuinely good and it has been running longer than most. The catch is the buyback: 90% in credit you can only spend on more packs is not the same as 90% in cash, and that is worth understanding properly before you deposit.

Packz FAQ

Does Packz pay out in cash?

No. The standard 90% buyback is paid as site credit, which can only be used to buy more packs. It cannot be withdrawn. That is the most important thing to understand about Packz.

What is the Packz welcome offer?

A first pack of up to $100 carrying a 100% buyback instead of the usual 90%. The bonus funds are non-withdrawable and the offer expires 48 hours after signup.

What is the catch with Packz?

The ripping works fine; the friction is all at the cashier. The buyback pays credit rather than cash, unshipped cards convert to more credit after 72 hours, shipping is US-only with no PayPal or crypto, and users report repeated identity and selfie verification checks.

How long do I have to ship a card from Packz?

72 hours. Anything you have not shipped by then is automatically sold back, and the proceeds arrive as site credit rather than cash.

Card rips involve risk and packs are not a positive-expectation purchase. Figures are checked against operator terms and user reports but change often, so confirm current terms before depositing. 18+ or 19+ depending on the operator.
